Blanket For Grandma

Well I have been tring to get this blanket ready to give to my grandmother , well my step-grandmother but she is the only grandma I know so we drop the step.... I have all the squares done but have beenso lazy to get the borders done and sewn on my grandma has been real sick has dialysis 3 times aweek so I better get going on this blanket dont want anythiing to happen and I have never given her the blanket that has been ment for her . So here we go onward and up ward we start tomarrow to get those borders on just have to cut the borders and sew them on so I can have the top done and then go to Joanns fabric to buy the backing and put it together doesnt sound like alot but it is and well its not like I got other things that i have to do during the day . SO wish me luck on finishine with in the next month I hope my grnadma will be 85 in Sept so I want to get it finished way before then. Oh and also I have a blanket that i am workiing on for my grand-daughter and I havent gotten that one finished yet and she is 16 mons old .. oh man am I behind... was hoping to get that one done by her 1st birthday well that didnt happen. so we are tring to get it done some time before her 2nd birthday in august. I need some help lol.....

March In Like a Lion and out Like a Lamb

So its March how this year has started to fly by. Well I am tring to get motivated on creatin some of my items but just cant for the life of me. and I am a bit frustrated Etsy.com hasnt really worked for us and so disappointing. I am now tring to do ebay with thrift store finds and doing fairly well with that but not making tons of money. I need a better way of putting out our items on the market and with little moeny dont have much to use on websites and listing items without selling them. So what to do what to do...... Notsure looking for some great ideas

Thinking of sewing for charity at least I feel like I am doing something useful have found this great charity www.littledressesforafrica.org really loved this one you make pillowcase dresses for orphans or t-shirt dresses for the teen girls and also you can make "britches for boys" for the young boys and teens boy and I am going to bring this up to my church ladies and have sent a message to a friend for her Girl Scout troop and see if they are interested . iam thinking of going to our local school who still have Home Ec classes and see if the teachers are interested in having thier students make some at least for one semester to donate.

There are so many other charities I would love to get involved in but need to do so much more research and to see if I really agree with their missions.. and ot make sure who they intend to give the items to really get them... I do implore you if you are interested in the charity above do make some great little dresses for these lovely little girls who are so delighted in to receive their dresses you can go to the website to see for yourself and see if this is for you ...

Christmas is in the air

Hello everyone it's almost Christ---mas time and I havent written in such along while. I think the last time I wrote was when my Aunt Mary had passed away in Feb. 2008. We all took it so hard we all loved her so much and wanted her to get better, but the Lord had better plans for her, so now she is celebrating Christ---mas in heaven with him this year. I hope to do a better job on our blog this coming year I havent really been really crafty this past year and feel pretty awful about that and discouraged. Etsy hasnt done much for our business had 2 sales in almost 2 years not that great huh!!!! Havent tried the other sites a little discouraged about it hopeing next year will be better. I am although doing Ebay and have done well there selling finds from thrift stores but still sad that my hand-crafts dont do well on ebay but will try again after the holidays and we'll see what happens.

Special Order Blanket

Here is the finished blanket for that special little girl that her anut and uncle just loved her so much they had a special blanket made for her.


So much has happeded in our family over the past month. We had 3 family memebers in the hospital and one of them passed away my Aunt Mary passed away from Luckemia of the bone marrow I had made her a blanket last year, with little angels on it. Well hopefully I can blogg more often now that everything is back to normal well everyone is home out of the hospital its been a ruff 4 weeks.

Special Order Baby Blanket

This the only block that our customer requested that the baby's name and date of birth be on it , but we still had all creative license to play with it. My sister did this on her embroidery machine, which I dont touch I get what I want that's our deal and I dont touch her machine LOL!!!!

This little cute kitty is jsut sitting and waiting for some food she is alittle hungry , but she doesnt have a mouth to eat with , she is also waiting for her face to be embroiered on. Hummmmm!!

Here is a pretty little pink kitty laying down and resting she'll look prettier once she has her little face on LOL!!! Women having always to put on their faces LOL!!!

The Picture above shows what the blanket would look like with the borders and with the blocks all set up.

This is what I've been working on the last few weeks. I have had so much fun designing this little blanket for this special customer. She has been great and lettiing us design what we want she just gave us the colors she wanted. I hope all of your think it as pretty as I do.

Hanford Craft Show

Hi all well we did it 3 shows in les than one month wow !!!!!! And now I havent blogged b/c I got sick well at least I waited till we were done to get sick LOL!!!
Somehow we lost the pictures that were taken at the craft show since I didnt use my camera and I wanst incharge of the pictures I didnt know what happened to them.
But anyway we met 2 etsy shop owners there at the Hanford show and it was great to meet some of them and hear their opinion of etsy, which was great. We were alittle disapointed in our sales, but I gues this ecomony is hitting everyone.
We did have so much fun and I met some great ladies who want to wholesalewith me!!! So well thats a project for the first of the year after we get all holidays done with. Here are some people that we met at the show

My dear friends thank you so much for leaving such lovely comments on our blog. It makes us feel good that all of you have become our friends. We do try to blog about once a week since we are so busy at the moment I really dont have the time right now. I have been failing in our banner exchange and I do aplogize for that neatostuff.com I know you have looked at our site and have seen that we are doing our job in promoting.
And to our friends in Brazil thank you are so great and such good friends :~) I just love these ladies they have sent us so many free patterns that I dont have the time to make them all. One day I hope I can make them all and just to see all the lovely faces that come out on the dolls and stuffed animals :~) You know that not one come out the same they all look different even if you use the same pattern they all have a differnet personality, isnt that wierd? But it is fun thats my favorite part.
To all of our friends at ETSY just love you guys you ahve been such a great help to us when we were just starting our shop. I sure hope I have helped someone along the way to pay forward. Christmas Street Fair -- Morro Bay, California

Well we did it went to Morro Bay and got there at 6:30am to start setting up. We were sad that we were miss led by the foot traffic that was expressed to us. We did ok in sales but not as great as we hoped. But next year we're going to ask to be on the main though fair of the show and not a side street. But we did meet some lovely ladies there that were our booth nieghbors and they did help us in some tips on how to display our items and after we put those tips to work we started to sell. We had all our shop oweners promo items set out and we give them out to everyone who visited our booth and we let them know that we like to promote other shop owners on etsy so they knew what they were getting and where they could find us all. But all in all is waws ok not great but we did get some leads on some other shows for next year. But we still have our craft show here locally this saturday so we'll be promoting all of you shop owners that send us your promo items at this show also.
