D&J Sewing Center 1st Annual Craft Show
This our host at the register with her helpers. It was wonderful ,she hosted our first craft show and she made a great sale to someone who didnt know the store even existed now this lovely ladY has a great sewing store to come and visit.
We donated a baked goodie so the store could have aVbake sale at the same time while the craft show was going on and hot apple cider was provied along with a sample of some outrageously good cookies and friut cake that "Kats and Threads" donated.

Boy did we have so much fun and make so many new friends. And we did great in sales. For our first show it was a blast. I took so many pictures of all the other vendors and promised them I would put their booths in our blog along with a little blurp about their business , So here goes ladies I hope you're watching :~) The picture of the top is our booth you can see my little critters and my mom's pruses and a few scraves that my sister makes. Here we have a picture of a very happy customer that bought one of my sister's handknitted hats. She told us she was a retired school teacher. We think she looks lovely with her gorgeous hat :~) ENJOY!!!!

Here we have "Creative Threads Captured" a lovely booth full of Old Victorian Chirstmas ornaments that this lovely ladies 90 year old Aunt had made. She told us that her 90 year old aunt has supplied these ornaments for years to many shop owners throught the world.

Here is another lovely booth from Mother and Daughter "Stich in Time" their names are Linda Curutchet and Dine Sandlin. They had some great looking items I just wanted to buy them out. But I have a rule I dont buy without selling first I am funny that way. They had to leave early on Saturday do to family emergency. We hope everything is alright.

Here we have Donna's Jewelry & Things from Fresno, Ca. She had some great looking jewlery, too bad I have a nickel allergery :~(.

Here is our hosts way of taking care of unruly parents of unruly children LOL!!!

Well my sister has added some Sworski crystals to her ornaments I dont think you can really tell on how great they look by a picture but you tell me what you think.

I really like this one of the Christmas Tree it is also embellished with crushed autrian crystals. They would look so pretty with those twinkly lights that you would put on your christmas tree. The crystals catches all the different colors that it is near. They look fabulous. I also love this nativity one it looks so pretty. It does have a crystal right at the north star. Good to our shop to see the whole line of our Christmas Ornaments http:www.kraftykrew.etsy.com
We have many more to list and different styles

My Tia's Quilt

Hi All, I finally finished my Tia Mary's quilt , well that's my aunt Mary's for those of you who don't know what Tia means it's Spanish for aunt. But do you know that I didn't take a picture of it. I was in such a rush to finish it that I totally forgot. But it is a design that I made myself. I hand appliqued angels on muslin and I put 3 borders on it one solid bright yellow, bright pink and pretty blue with little flowers that have yellow and pink flowers. I am going to see if my Tia will take pictures for me and send them to me so I can post them on my blog. I feel so dumb about not taking pictures I can pictures of everything I make. My Tia was diagnosed with Leukemia of the bone marrow. And I used the cancer pink ribbon fabric for the backing of her quilt. All of our family would appreciate all of your prayers for her.

New Friends

I have made so many new friends on etsy.com and also on flickr.com. This has been so much fun to write a blog , its abit hard because you dont know what to write, but I have found that if I read other blogs it gives me some ideas of what to write. Please excuse me punctuation and style of writing, I am not a English major LOL!!!
So lets see New Friends. I have met some great ladies from Brazil and wow do they have some great talent you can see them on their flickr photostream I am waiting to recieve their blog address so I can post them here. I plan on doing some swapping with them when I am not so busy. I would love to receive some new items from different countries and why not start with Brazil. I think it great. I love some of those patterns they use and I have seen on Picasa Web. One of my new friends tuned me on to picasa, thank you Veronica , gracias Veronica.
I have access to all of the patterns they post there , the only problem is my photoshop trial just expired now I have to buy the program and I cant print anything that requires this program, bummer. I'll be listing my New Friends blogs, flickr.coms, etsy shops, etc as soon as I recieve them so keep those lovely eyes open :~)

New Kreations

Well we've been working on our christmas line. I am creating little elf pillows . They are looking so cute I dont have a picture to post yet they are not finished yet. I am still working on the faces and all their little decorations. You'll be surprised. I got the idea from a tuorial I saw but I changed it some to suit me. First on the tutorial they didnt have ears only arms and legs. I gave them ears and their hats are made from different shapes like one is a christmas tree and the other is a kinda of a santa hat. I am creating one that will have a big star as the hat haven't figured that one out yet, but I am having fun with it. I hope to have pictures this weekend. I am working hard, but I fear that I will not be ready for my crafts show in November. My mom has been working hard also, but she has been in bed with a terrible back pain for the last few days so she hasn't been able to do much of anything really. So keep us in your thoguhts and prayers that we will be ready for our crafts show and that we do well.

Little Tid-Bits

We have been working on some new items lately and we have been working very hard. Believe it or not my mom is working on a Mr. "T" doll he is a soft sculpture doll with all the trimings; meaning he has all the jewlery and mohawk that the real Mr. "T" wears. She made one about 25 yrs ago it was to be for my little brother who at the time was about 5 yrs old and he just loved Mr. "T" and the "A" Team; you remember that show. Well anyway somehow I cant recall , but my mom sold that Mr."T" and now she owes my little brother , who isnt so little anymore, he is 30 yrs old now and is 6'5" and he is a Correctional Officer, but he still wants his Mr. "T". Can you believe he asked me to make him a diansour?
Which I did last Christmas and I put a spike dog collar on it and named him "Roffie". There is a story behind that name. My little brother nick name is Fofie and well my one of my newphews when he was young couldn't say it and it came out uncle Roffie. So now we call him uncle Roffie.
But I anyway I was sidetracked with the story of my little brother.
My mom is also getting ready to make a Betty Boop Doll and she is cute . The last time she made this doll was around the same time as Mr. "T". You wont believe it, but Betty Boop is anatomically correct.
My mom had made many dolls back then she would get pictures from customers that wanted her to make a doll that looked like their child and specially if the child had a scar, they wanted that on the doll. My mom made me a doll on my 21st birthday it looks exactly like my baby picture when I was just a few months old. She also put on the doll the scar I have from my heart surgery when I was 3 yrs old. I need to take a picture of that doll and my baby picture and post them here. My mom has a few dolls over seas that she had sold back then in the late 70's. She has sent them as far away as Germany, and that's before the internet LOL!!!! People would just hear it from word of mouth and call and order them and well she would send them out. Well I guess we'll have a few more tid-bits at a later date keep up
with us 'K :~)
